How to Create a Facebook Fan Page

1. From your Facebook Home Page

2. Click on "Ads and Pages"

3. Click on "Create Page"

Your screen should look something like this:

-Select the type of page and your category

-Name your page

I recommend checking the Box next to "Do not make Page publicly visible at this time." This gives you time to get your page set up, images loaded, etc. before anyone can see it.

-Click on Create Page

This brings you to your newly created Fan Page...So what now??? Now it's time to add a photo, organize your tabs and add apps.

A Few Tips for a Successful Fan Page

• Make it a resource - Give users a reason to come to your page. It's not enough just to have one, you have to make it a useful one. Don't think from your point-of-view, try to think like a fan. What would you want to know or see on your page? As a fan, not as an owner. This may sound like common sense but many fan pages do nothing but advertise. Why do I want to be your fan? Give me a reason to visit your page, more than once.
• Don't spam your fans - Everyone hates spam, your fans will start dropping like flies!
• Interact with your fans - Make your page more personal, when fans leave a comment, comment back. Your page won't run itself.
• Connect your page with your other social networks sites and your website(s). If you have a blog, Twitter, LinkedIn, MySpace, Tagged or anyother social media page, link them together and make it easier on yourself.
